Its flat spade design creates a flat working angle, ideal for one-step positioning and no loss of impact energy. The flat angle also makes it a self-sharpening edge, for longer life. It is manufactured with a proprietary heat-treat process, an inductive hardening process employed for high quality and wear resistance. It provides wide hammer compatibility, working with rotary hammers that accept SDS-plus® bits.
